Australian Citizenship Ceremony

One of the fun things that we get to do as a Councillor is attend the Citizenship Ceremonies. BRC hold about 6 Citizenship Ceremonies every year and it was great to see 34 participants become new Australian Citizens. Our newest Australian Citizens will now be able to celebrate Australia Day with their family, friends, and communities as Aussies.

Congratulations to all participants at Thursday's function. It was a big day of events, as in the afternoon being held was the Australia Day Awards Ceremony. Moore Park Beach Arts Inc was nominated for the Community Event of the Year Award for bringing the Art’s Festival to MPB.

What a day of amazing events with the Citizenship Ceremony in the morning and the Australia Day Awards Ceremony in the afternoon. The outcome was what we were all hoping for with Moore Park Beach Arts Inc taking out the Community Event of the Year award for the Moore Park Beach Arts Festival.

Finally a big thank-you to the Moore Park Lions Club for putting on such a delicious breakfast Friday morning to celebrate Australia Day at Moore Park Beach and with Moore Park Beach Scouts hosting games for the children it was a wonderful event.
